Australia
You can be sponsored by an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen for a Partner Visa (Subclass 820/801 if onshore, or 309/100 if offshore). Eligible relationships include married, de facto, or same‑sex. Applicants must prove the genuineness of the relationship, meet health and character tests, and have the sponsor provide ongoing support. The temporary visa leads to permanent residency after approximately two years.
Canada
Canadian citizens or permanent residents aged 18+ can sponsor their spouse, common-law or conjugal partner for permanent residency. Sponsors must prove valid relationship, financial ability (support obligation for three years), and residency plans in Canada. Applicants need identity documents, police and medical clearances.

United Kingdom
UK citizens or settled persons can sponsor spouse, fiancé(e), child, adult dependent relative, or partner under the Family Visa. Applicants must meet a financial threshold (currently £29,000/year), provide proof of relationship, suitable accommodation, and English language ability. Initial visa duration is 30–33 months, extendable, followed by eligibility for Indefinite Leave to Remain after five years.
United States
U.S. citizens or green-card holders may sponsor a spouse or eligible relative under family-based immigration categories. Eligible visas include: immediate relative visas (spouses) and family preference categories for children or siblings. Sponsors must prove U.S. citizenship/PR status, and ability to support financially. Applicants require medical and security certificates. Processing leads to conditional/permanent resident status.

New Zealand
Partners in a genuine, stable relationship (married, civil union, de facto) with a New Zealand citizen, resident, or visa holder may apply for a work-based partnership visa (12–24 months) and subsequent residence visa. Evidence of cohabitation, identity documents, and proof of relationship length (usually 12 months) are required, along with health and character checks.
Germany
Under family reunification, spouses and minor children of German citizens or residents can apply for a long-stay national visa to join family in Germany. Requirements include proof of relationship, adequate living space, basic German language skills, and sponsor’s valid residence status. Family reunion cases can take up to 12 weeks for processing.

Cyprus
Non-EU spouses or relatives of Cypriot citizens and legal residents may apply for family reunification residence permits (beyond 90 days). Required documents include proof of relationship, registered accommodation meeting safety standards, and financial resources to support family members.
